Ghana’s biggest dancehall artist, Livingstone Etse Setakla popularly known as Stonebwoy in the showbiz fraternity, finally address issues between himself and the self acclaimed talented musician Willie Roi (Dj Roi) over his several verbal attacks on radio over the progress of the artist.
Mr Willie who was a showbiz panelist on Pluzz 89.9fm but now followed the team to Zylofon FM never ceased to downplay the works of the young art, Stonebwoy.
He on several occasions compare Stonebwoy to his rival Shatta Wale and praises the latter over former. There were questions asked about their coexistence on same record label as the two subjects somehow got to work with Zylofon media.
It got so serious that Mr Roi had to ran away from the studios early this year when Stonebwoy and his steam had an interview with Sammy Flex. Could it be that he was shy of the young art?
A song on Stonebwoy’s Epistles Of Mama album, his current album which is still one of the biggest selling album online, both local and on international platforms contains a derogatory line which seems to be directed at Willie Roi. “Agbena where dey Willie lie lie , everyday u dey call lie lie me, u dey want my money nie nie . WO nim se sika mpe dede” and so on.
Now this line takes us back to the Pluzz FM days where Mr Roi was given Ghc 1,000 by Shatta Wale for picking him over Stonebwoy.
Questions we should ask;
1. Is Willie Roi doing more of this attack on Stonebwoy because of the Ghc1,000?
2. After over 40years experience in this industry, is it right to put two great talents at war against each other?
3. Should Stonebwoy give Mr Roi money, what will be the new chapter?
